New Email Addresses; New Website Address

As we have finally been able to get reasonably-priced high-speed internet (WiFi) out here in corn country, we've changed our provider. Please update your records with our new email addresses:

Our website address is now www.elmnet.net/~stembridge

We'll keep the old mindspring.com addresses active for a few months before we shut them down. Make a note of it!

Springtime Late Summer in Toulon

My, what a busy summer, nay, year it's been! We'll try to catch you up on everything below:

Ed's Dad came up and spent six weeks with us early in the summer, recuperating from reconstructive knee surgery after descending a ladder "the fast way." We really enjoyed his stay, but I never could get him to help me re-roof the house for some reason...

Beth and the boys drove Dad back to Georgia, and returned with Ed's brother David's kids, Chelsea, Dylan and Ian. They were with us two weeks while Dave and his wife Loretta were on a missions trip to Kenya. They joined us here for a few days before leaving for home back in Georgia.

Then, Beth took Chad and Tyler to Chicago for a week-long "String Camp," which they all really enjoyed. The CD of the music they performed was just great!

As they were driving home, we passed somewhere on highway 39 as I was driving to Oshkosh for the big annual airshow. I was there two days, and got back in late Saturday. Meanwhile, Beth and the boys had gotten home, washed clothes, and headed back out, this time towards West Virginia to help with Beth's brother Mark's Christian camp for a week. They took several girls from our church, along with "Grandma" Hogsett, one of our Senior Saints in the church, who helped with cooking for the week.

They all got back late on the next Saturday, and after a day of rest, Tyler and I headed out to Sinclair, Wyoming on another missions project - helping build an apartment for a young lady in our church who joined Baptist Youth Mission out there. They work with troubled teens, and are located in a 1920s hotel building that was given to them. It was a 1,000 mile trip one-way!

We're all finally back home together again, which is nice for a change. We still have some more camping trips and such planned for this fall, but all are weekend trips thankfully. We got a nice start on the fall activities (a little early) by spending the day fishing with our friends, the Harps, last weekend:

We thank the Lord for protection on the roads, and for vehicles that continue to run well after the thousands of miles put on them this hot summer.

Site Redesign Stalls Updates for Months

It's done at long last, so I can hopefully resume my usual sporadic updates instead of the recent semi-annual ones. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and for those of you who are interested (and know what this means), I completely redid the site using CSS just so I can 'keep my hand in' the latest web design techniques. A lot has changed since I shifted my career out of web design.

As with any major overhaul, there will probably be bugs—if you spot a bad link, typo or other anomaly, just drop me an email and I'll fix it in the next update.

Thanks for stopping by!
