The Archives - January 2009

Welcome to another new year - starting our eighth year on the farm! And what a start it's been. Almost before we had the table cleared from our New Year's Day feast, we loaded up the van and headed to the warmer climes of Texas for the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. Chad's latest film was a semi-finalist there:

While he didn't progress beyond that stage, it was still an encouraging trip, and he's already percolating ideas for next year's film festival.

We returned home from our trip just a couple days ago, with Tyler driving the last three hours in the snow (!), and after the weather system finished, we had about five inches of global warming in the yard. That was quickly followed by blustery winds and rapidly falling temperatures - it got down to -21° last night, and is expected to fall to -24° tonight.

Thankfully, it will be up close to +30° by the end of the weekend - short sleeves weather!

This Georgia boy is ready for a good old-fashioned Georgia winter right about now.
