Gustav & Ike
So far, during the month of September, we've received about ten inches of rain, five of which came all last week. A good portion of that was residuals from Gustav and Ike - areas north of us got as much as 11 inches last week. The Illinois river is more than ten feet above flood stage right now.
We got some dampness in the cellar, but thankfully nothing worse than that. The weather this week has more than made up for it - high 70s, light winds, beautiful sunsets.

The 1950 Ford 8N next to my 2000 New Beetle. Wonder if the NB will look so good in 2050?

Momma cat had six this time. In the cellar (she found a hole in the screen door!).
Ya'll drop us a line when you can, now!
