We're just a family following Christ, living in a ~90 year-old house out on the prairie (and yes, we do have peach trees), rearing a couple of Godly sons and all the while trying to not make the locals laugh too much at our attempts at farming. 3" of Global Warming descended on us today.
March 17, 2010 - Spring!
A mere week-and-a-half after writing the update below, all our snow is gone and it was sunny and in the low 60s today. The lawn is greening up a bit and I've already been out on the tractor trying to drag all the driveway gravel back into the driveway (it gets pulled out with the snow when I'm plowing the driveway during the winter).
Of course, the forecast is for light snow this Saturday.

March 7, 2010 - Still in the Throes of Winter
Been pretty busy this year working on our new kitchen, and am happy to report we moved into it last week! We've already started the tear-out of the old kitchen, which will become our dining room when done. Or maybe a rec room, who knows…
We still have 3-4 foot snowdrifts in parts of the yard, and the low tonight will be 5°. Spring is a far piece off at this point, but we're already feeling the need to get garden plans done. It will be time to start planting soon!
