The new steel panels for the machine shed arrived on Friday, which meant it was time to strip all the remaining panels off the old part of the building – installation of the new starts on Monday. The Lord gave us three days above 40°F, which melted all the ice and snow off the roof, enabling us to be able to take those panels off, too.
Naturally, the long-range forecast called for over a week of clear weather when I looked at it last Thursday. Now, they’re calling for up to 7″ of snow over the next week (and me without a roof!). Oh well, it’s ultimately the Lord’s machine shed, not mine.
The red panels that are still on the shed are the north wall of my heated shop and have sprayed-in insulation on them. We decided to leave them in place and install the new panels right over the top of them.
