Granny keeps ticking along, and we enjoyed a brief visit with her over Thanksgiving. She turned 104 in October. Her memory isn’t so great these days, but she recognized us and when prompted, remembered various events we brought up. We’re so thankful for her!
Chad has been spending frequent weekends in southern Illinois all year, and with his recent marriage to Samantha, is now permanently moved. Tyler also decided to make the move into Peoria at the end of October to be closer to work. It was an emotional moment watching him pull out of the driveway.
In March, Chad approached us with a request to begin courting a young lady we had been observing for a while, and after a time of prayer, Samantha and Chad formally began their courtship.
This won’t be the full update on the past few months – those will be forthcoming, but rest assured, we have not been sitting around on our hands. Until then, KITTENS! So, once you’ve processed that a disaster has happened and all the family is okay, the next step is to start the cleanup… a difficult thing, as you really don’t know where to start.
It’s been a good haying year so far… here we are baling our second cutting. That’s our niece riding the rack with Tyler. First time she’s done hay, but as she’s studying equine therapy, she said she’d like to know where the feed comes from!
