We got a beautiful 6-8″ of gentle no-wind snow the other night, which was the perfect opportunity to get the 8N out and plow the driveways. I think I saw Norman Rockwell lurking about, too.
Not long after the “wind event,” I started trying to contact local contractors to rebuild the barn. Despite the 8N looking all smug, it only raked the hay this year – the Allis Chalmers AC 190 does the work of spinning the baler now. The round bales are from the first cutting back in June.
I still owe the web site a ton of updates, but am throwing this one in just to document I saw my first gaggle of geese headed South this morning while doing chores. They’re probably not actually migrating at this point, but we’ll likely start to see more over the next weeks.
