Nearly a full year from the date the tornado ripped the back half off the machine shed, I finished wiring up the lights in the rebuild shed tonight.
We acquired our first beef cow as a bred Angus heifer in late 2011 from a farmer friend whom we had loaned use of our hay field for a crop of beans followed by corn. He had already named her Judy.

I spent a very chilly Saturday afternoon framing up the porch roof for the machine shed… 13°F and 20-30mph winds by the time I finished.
Still have a little more trim to install, then doors. I will be building the porch roof over the small entry door when the weather cooperates.
The contractor said they have about another day’s work to finish hanging the remaining wall panels and installing trim. The new roll-up doors should be delivered this coming week, and once those are installed, the barn rebuild will be complete, other than pouring a new concrete floor in the back half.
